After announcing its headliners earlier in the day, the Osheaga lineup has been released a day before schedule to combat a leak this afternoon. The biggest festival in Canada will host its 15th anniversary iteration July 31 to August 3. Though a few days earlier than previous years, Osheaga which is held in the Parc Jean-Drapeau, an island within Montreal will continue to run concurrently with Chicago’s Lollapalooza festival (whose lineup has not been released) and will surely feature a lot of crossover.
This year’s headliners are Foo Fighters, Lizzo, and Kendrick Lamar who’s been rumoured to be releasing new music this year. With stadium ready fanbases of millions between headliners, it’s sure to be an illustrious weekend. Foo Fighters will be celebrating a 25 year anniversary of their own and their first show in Montreal in years. It’s Lamar’s third time playing the festival.
Elsewhere, middle lines boast impressive indie and urban booking with Bon Iver, Chet Faker, Earthgang, Soccer Mommy, Brock Hampton, Kraftwerk (in 3D?), PARTYNEXTDOOR, Clairo, TNGHT, Brittany Howard, Slowthai, and Vampire Weekend fresh off their Grammy, playing throughout the festival.
Osheaga also presents a decent portion of impressive Canadian talent like Men I Trust, July Talk, Orville Peck, Charlotte Day Wilson, Haviah Mighty, among others. Canadian music auteur genius Dan Snaith will be fulfilling double duties as Caribou and Daphni on the Day 3.
